The world of Panem is preparing for its return to the big screen, and this time, music is playing a major role in bringing the story to life. The official soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has unveiled its complete 29-track lineup, featuring an impressive collection of artists from across the music industry.
Set for release on November 13, 2026, through MCA, the album brings together artists including Noah Cyrus, Ella Langley, Stevie Nicks, The Smashing Pumpkins, Kacey Musgraves, Mckenna Grace, Violet Grohl, Tyler Childers, and many more. The soundtrack arrives just one week before Lionsgate releases The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in theaters nationwide on November 20.
Executive produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb, known for his work with Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson, the album features a diverse collection of musical styles and voices. The project brings together established performers, emerging artists, and members of the film's cast to create a musical experience connected to the dystopian world of The Hunger Games.
The announcement follows the release of several tracks, including Noah Kahan's lead single, "Draw You Out," The Smashing Pumpkins' "Black Star," and Gigi Perez's "Favor." The full tracklist also includes contributions from Lizzy McAlpine, Stephen Wilson Jr., Sydney Rose, Madeline Edwards, Billy Vincent, Hudson Freeman, Emelie Trahan, Kashus Culpepper, Carter Faith, and Madison Cunningham.
Among the notable selections is Jennifer Lawrence's "Deep in the Meadow," connecting the soundtrack to one of the franchise's most recognizable performers. Lawrence previously portrayed Katniss Everdeen in the original Hunger Games film series.
The album also features Whitney Peak on multiple tracks, including "The Raven I," "The Raven II," "The Raven III," and "The Goose and The Common." Other selections include Stevie Nicks' "Doing The Best That I Can (Arena Mix)," Depeche Mode and KÁRYYN's "Survive (Arena Mix)," and The Cure's "Alone (Live in Berlin 2022)."
The soundtrack's release adds another layer of anticipation to the upcoming film, which explores the early life of one of the franchise's most significant characters, Haymitch Abernathy.
Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping takes audiences back to Panem 24 years before the events of the original Hunger Games story.
The film follows 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy, portrayed by Joseph Zada, on the morning of the reaping for the 50th Annual Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. Unlike previous competitions, this year's Games feature twice as many tributes, raising the stakes for those forced to enter the arena.
As Haymitch prepares to fight for survival, he forms an unexpected alliance with fellow District 12 tribute Maysilee Donner, portrayed by Mckenna Grace. Together, they become part of a coalition determined to challenge the Capitol's control under President Snow, played by Ralph Fiennes.
What begins as a fight for survival develops into a dangerous effort to undermine the Games from within, setting the stage for events that will ultimately influence the future of Panem.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Jesse Plemons, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Ben Wang.
The screenplay was written by Billy Ray and Michael Lesslie, with an adaptation by Suzanne Collins. The film is produced by Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and Francis Lawrence. Lionsgate presents the production in association with Color Force and about.
Rated PG-13 for strong violence, bloody images, disturbing material, some smoking, and teen drinking, the upcoming installment continues the franchise's exploration of survival, power, resistance, and the consequences of the Capitol's brutal control over the districts.
With a soundtrack featuring some of the biggest names in music and a storyline centered on the origins of Haymitch Abernathy, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is preparing to introduce audiences to another pivotal chapter in the franchise.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album) arrives November 13, 2026, through MCA. The film opens exclusively in theaters November 20, 2026.
