Corey Isom Is Creating His First Musical Project

Corey Lee Isom is an African American and is best known as Cnote specializing in Rap music. With over 7 thousand followers and subscribers on Facebook and Instagram, his content has over 9 thousand total views since April, 2021. Cnote has collaborated and performed with Monee & Otis Wayy of Get Money Entertainment. He, has released You Ain’t By My Side with over 25,000 streams. Corey has also been modeling since 1998.

Where did you grow up and what was it like growing up there?

I was born & raised in the south side of providence RI, it’s a small state with a lot of talent that tends to get over looked due to gun violence, if we all would stick together my city could win because team work makes the dream work.

How do you feel about creating your first musical project are you nervous about it?

It’s my first time ever putting myself out their in front of the world so of course I was a bit nervous, but overall excited to let the world into my life. A bit anxious as well, my team & I put together a great project with a lot of real life experiences & emotions. I’ve always been stand offish so I’m finally letting the world in with my music.

When is the release of your Album or EP and what type of sound can we expect to hear from your project?

I decided to call it “Product Of My Environment” becuse that’s what I am. Everything I’ve been thru in life shaped & molded me into the person I am. When you hear my music that’s what you get a man who is a product of his environment, in one of the most creative ways possible.

How did you get into your music career?

I started rapping at the age of 10 with a friend of mine Jose aka monee we went to elementary school together and lived a few houses down. We would always come up with rhymes trying to rap with the OG’s on the block, and when we wasn’t doing that we was playing video game’s lol. But you know life took us both down separate journeys and we had lost contact for a while but we recently found each other thru Facebook again and when I found out he had started his own label “get money entertainment” I wanted to be apart of it. He heard my vision & immediately said let’s work & we been working ever since non stop.

If you could get musical advice from any artist in the industry who would it be?

It would have to be Rick Ross for me because I like his style, & his music is always fire, everything about him screams BOSS he was just a regular guy who was a correctional officer who wanted more out of his life and I feel as tho that’s me I’m currently working at the United Postal Service but I want more for my life.

What is your creative process like when making music?

The creative process for me is always the most fun I like to find a beat I can nod my head to & do my little 2 step lol then come up with a concept first and the rest just flows I feel like it’s heaven sent. Monee & I bounce ideas off each other and feed off each other’s energy. Similar to drake & 40 we trying to showcase my talents to the best of ability.

How did you get into modeling and is that something you will continue to pursue even when you're are doing music?

My mom actually got me into it back in 1998, my first modeling gig was a 5th grade math book with a modeling agency out Boston MA. I will continue to pursue modeling as I’m working on my music.

Can you give some advice to someone who would like to start modeling but don't know how to start?

Don’t give up, never let anyone body shame you, love yourself, believe in yourself because you are beautiful inside & out.

Is there anyone in the modeling industry that you would love to collaborate with and why?

I would love to collaborate with the fashion designer’s of Balenciaga & Vetements Demna & Guram Gvasalia, I love their sense of fashion.

You also have pursued a career in acting. What is the hardest part about acting and what do you enjoy about it most?

The hardest part for me is remember my lines lol, I enjoy most being able to tap into a character and really becoming them for the moment.

If you got casted for a major roll in a movie who would you love to be casted with you?

Denzel Washington
