My name is Franklin, but I go by the name “Big Frank”. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island but was raised in Cranston during my teens years. I am a recording artist and have been doing music for a little over 15 years now but started to take it seriously about a year ago. I recently started a business alongside 6 owners called “7 Keys Studios”. As a recording artist, I have been in situations where other individuals of different professions will treat me as another customer (all about the money) and not an actual person. Therefore, ownership and setting an example to others in the music business was key for me being a part owner of “7 Keys Studios”.
In regards to my music, I can describe it as being limitless and doing what I love to do without being told how to do. I can contribute my music taste in how I was raised in my household. My mom would play spanish music to Pop music to even R&B. My step father introduced me to Hip-Hop which I loved ever since. I don’t remember exactly what song but 2pac was the first artist I ever heard rapped and fell in love with the culture. This excitement eventually led up to me rapping during lunch while in elementary school to do talent shows in middle school and high school.
Even though I was perfecting my craft as an artist; my stage presence was always at 100% from day one. Not to sound cocky, I honestly believe that I am one of the best performers in this state and or even the Country. However, my biggest downfall as an artist is caring too much because there are times I would be taking business personal. I am a person that always thinks that making this decision is the right thing to do and or looking for a response that doesn’t offend the other individual doing business with me. However, I have a team that corrects my actions whether it's a bad decision and or a good decision. With that being said, what I am looking to accomplish in 2020-2021 is to release more content with the team and really display who Big Frank is an artist.
In other words, music to music videos are going to be released on a consistent basis. I am tired of being known as an underrated and slept on artist but I want to be known as an artist that can keep up with the heavyweights in the game. However, the number goal is starting the foundation of my legacy. In other words, I want to own land, real estate, property, music and to anything I can get my hands on. To conclude, 2021 is there for the taking so it’s time to crank up the effort and give it 200% or this opportunity is a failure. I will continue to push my name and legacy until success comes my way.
